DI Grading and Colour Management
Cinelab Film and Digital's grading and colour team are led by Paul Dean - Head of Scanning & Grading and Darren Rae - Head of Colour.
Their talent and experience, coupled with cutting edge technology have resulted in partnering with the world's leading Directors and Directors of Photography; they are trusted to provide creative and technical expertise to ensure picture quality throughout a project and to bring award-winning filmmakers vision to life.
Grading and Colour Facilities include:
Davinci Resolve is utilised for the management and grading of film and digital dailies. Both remotely, on set or in our Colour Grading Suites.

DI/Dailies Grading Theatre
Newly refurbished, large and exclusive 20 seat grading Theatre with film and digital cinema projection.
Additional facilities in the theatre - private kitchen and meeting area, also used for meetings/presentations

Colour Grading Suites
3 x Davinci Resolve non -linear editing and grading suites, complete with Black Magic and Tangent Elements control panels.

Remote Working
Cinelab Film & Digital's digital services can be deployed remotely, we can continue to provide many services from the safety and security of home or working Covid-19 safely within the building. All film and digital content remain securely stored at Cinelab Film and Digital on a protected network.

Colour Pipeline Management
It is essential to ensure a predictable and repeatable way to view images and convert between different colour spaces, based on a variety of capture devices and display types. We oversee all aspects of colour management, through best practices to maximise flexibility in post production and ensuring pictures are of high quality and future proofed.

Cinelab Film & Digital's Colourist team also bring huge knowledge and creativity to help overcome challenges faced on Archive and Restoration projects. Key to this is the workflow followed, film scanning and level of detail captured and the setting up of bespoke fast and effective solutions to reproduce the pristine quality that film warrants.
